York University Rover Team

We’re a group of enthusiastic undergraduate and graduate students from a wide array of disciplines who get together and build advanced rover prototypes. Our designs have competed in NASA’s Lunabotics Mining Competition and The Mars Society’s University Rover Challenge.

Since 2007, we’ve gone on to become a two-time winner at the University Rover Challenge and placed first at the 2012 Canadian Innovation Nation Robotics Competition. Over the years, our team has not only grown from seven to 50 members, but also in scope. We’re now building prototypical mars and lunar rover platforms.

We want to prepare students to boldly face future challenges by embracing these awesome advances in technology. Interested? We hope you are! Check out our website for more info.
